“In March, Trans Advantage implemented the Corcentric application for
processing tire invoices. This application provides us with an Internet hosting
and billing service that registers authorized orders for tires and interacts
with electronic transmissions containing the tire vendor’s invoice.
With Corcentric, vendor invoices are now validated to authorized purchase
orders and edited for accuracy. The validated information is electronically
forwarded and interfaced to the UniGroup applications for customer billing
(agent statements) and vendor payment processing.
Processing transactions for the current Agent Products Division is extremely
labor intensive and requires duplicate data entry into multiple computer
applications. Implementation of the Corcentric application has resulted in
improved processing efficiencies and minimized untimely customer billing,
decreased customer satisfaction leading to reduced sales, redundant
data entry, data entry backlog during peak season, due to the volume of
transactions, error prone billing and credit evaluation, and excessive research
required by our Accounts Payable and Agent Products teams.
