Business Leaders Should Cultivate People as their Most Important Asset

Cherry Hill, NJ., March 9, 2016 — People are the greatest asset of any business, according to a consensus of several sessions and presenters at the 2016 AmeriQuest Symposium, held last month in Orlando, Florida. This primary takeaway of the Symposium was just one of a multitude of ideas intended to help the nearly 275 attendees learn best practices, grow their businesses, and nurture their employees.

A popular favorite of the event was keynote speaker and legendary football coach Lou Holtz, who expounded on the importance of valuing and motivating people within an organization. Holtz, the only coach in NCAA history to lead six different programs to bowl games, shared powerful insights on what it takes to be successful in life and in business by doing what is right. Gary Hamel, renowned management expert, author, and professor at the London Business School, said it is up to organizations to cultivate people as the leading asset for success.

Communication was another major theme of the Symposium. Frank Luntz, political consultant, author, and pollster explained, “It’s not what you say; it’s what people hear that matters. In his opening remarks, AmeriQuest founder and CEO Doug Clark said that AmeriQuest’s goal is to “deliver what you need, not what we think you need.” And that goal can only be accomplished by actually listening and hearing what each customer is saying.

Max Carey, founder and chairman of CRD and one of the country’s leading sales and marketing consulting experts, talked about how successful businesses create excellence by knowing what their customers need and delivering those services to them. Carey challenged the audience with the idea that it is each individual within a company that makes the difference between success and failure, not the organization itself.

The 2017 AmeriQuest Symposium will be held February 15-17, 2017, at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes. For more information on this event, contact Kate Barnes at
