The Objectives

  • Optimize and digitize procurement processes across headquarters and subsidiaries to better support SQLI Group’s growth strategy
  • Guarantee spend and supplier compliance
  • Promote better purchasing practices in terms of CSR

The Challenge

Created in 1990, SQLI is a European services group?dedicated to the digital space, specializing in the design, implementation, global deployment, and operation of omnichannel solutions. The Group’s positioning as a commerce?and technology specialist enables its teams of experts to provide long-term support to major European companies and brands?in developing their sales and brand awareness, as well as their internal performance by reshaping the customer, partner, and employee experience.

The SQLI Procurement Department was created in 2016 with a mandate to:

  • Define, optimize, and digitize spend management processes
  • Unify the Procurement strategy within the group
  • Provide full visibility into data and suppliers

“Before the creation of the Procurement Department, expenses were centralized in Excel and we were using software that no longer met our current needs. The reconciliation of invoices and purchase orders was tedious for the Accounting Department. This manual process not only lacked reliability, but led to errors and losses. That’s why we were looking for a tool that could support our growth and digital transformation.”
– Nawel Yaiche, Chief Accounting Officer and Procurement Manager, SQLI

The Solution

Against a framework of constant growth, SQLI was looking for a unique Procurement solution that was easy to use and configure in order to meet its objectives. The company chose Corcentric’s Procure-to-Pay solution, and implemented the Provigis connector for supplier compliance management.

Provigis, a Corcentric technology partner, is a SaaS solution that ensures the collection, authenticity, and validity of legal documents from subcontractors collected under the obligation of vigilance and the Sapin II law. Procurement departments that want to access supplier data and monitor supplier compliance can do so directly from the Corcentric Platform, thanks to the Provigis API connector.

“Because we reference about 10 suppliers per day, having to update their information was very time consuming. Thanks to the API connector between Provigis and the Corcentric Platform, we gain efficiency and time saving. In addition to automating many manual processes, data is now centralized in a single tool and is more reliable. Requestors gain full visibility, so they know right away if a supplier is certified. If not, the request is automatically blocked. Net takeaway, compliance management of our 1,500 active suppliers has become much easier.”
– Nawel Yaiche, Chief Accounting Officer and Procurement Manager, SQLI

Giving autonomy to SQLI Group agencies and subsidiaries while maintaining central control over purchases is essential to the Group’s strategy. Because of its culture, it also places a special emphasis on the user experience; Corcentric has enabled SQLI to meet both of these requirements.

“Corcentric’s strengths are its ease of use and configurability. Having a solution that reflects our culture enables our 100 users to fully adopt the tool. By centralizing all of our direct and indirect purchases on a single platform, we can guarantee the reliability and quality of our purchasing data and our audit trail.”
– Nawel Yaiche, Chief Accounting Officer and Procurement Manager, SQLI

The Results

After a fast four-month implementation (two weeks ahead of schedule), the SQLI Group is leveraging a wide range of benefits through Procurement on the Corcentric Platform:

  • Spend control with 90% of Group purchases now done on the platform
  • Considerable time savings for the Accounting Department thanks to the automatic reconciliation of invoices with purchase orders
  • Full support for the platform from the Business, Purchasing, Management Control, Accounting and Finance departments, which facilitates collaboration and eliminates silos
  • Better management of supplier compliance thanks to the API connector from Provigis
  • Higher quality Procurement data that is centralized for increased visibility, informed decision making, and audit trail reliability
  • Total integration of the Procure to Pay process across the entire Group on one platform

“In 2022, we would like to deploy Corcentric in our branches in Morocco, and eventually in other countries such as Germany and Switzerland. We also have a second objective: To increase the proportion of our purchases made from CSR-certified suppliers. The Corcentric Platform will be a vector for the implementation of CSR Purchasing best practices throughout the Group.”
– Nawel Yaiche, Chief Accounting Officer and Procurement Manager, SQLI
